Kristi Sorkin (she/her) is starting her 11th season with IlluminArt Productions as the Associate Artistic Director after spending 9 fabulous seasons as a touring company actor. She has a BFA in Acting from Wayne State University in Detroit. Kristi teaches musical theater, dance, and mural-making, and choreographs mainstage musicals for and with young audiences with IlluminArt Productions. In the last few years, she has directed “Charlotte’s Web” and “Tortoise vs. Hare 2: This Time it’s Personal”, and choreographed “Seussical” and “Pinkalicious”. Kristi also enjoys the community theater scene here on Staten Island and was most recently featured as Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown and Ma Joad in The Grapes of Wrath, both with Ghostlight Players.
