Theatre for Young Audiences
IlluminArt's mission of "empowerment through the arts" shines through in our Theatre for Young Audience season.
From free Library Tours across Staten Island to magical sit-down productions, a Theatre for the Very Young adventure perfect for our tiniest audience members, and a high-energy Summer Touring Company, IlluminArt’s Theatre for Young Audiences Season is all about creating joyful, accessible theatre experiences for young people and families alike.
Each season includes two mainstage productions, both featuring designated sensory-friendly performances, along with our beloved Free Library Tour each fall, which brings a short play directly into communities across at least four Staten Island library branches.
In the summer, our Touring Company travels to Catapult Learning campsites across all five boroughs, sharing stories, music, laughter, and interactive theatre with campers of all ages.
Whether it’s a child experiencing live theatre for the very first time, a family sharing a special afternoon together, or campers dancing along with our actors, these productions are designed to spark imagination, build connection, and leave audiences feeling inspired long after the curtain call.
